Furthermore, it is determined that the solubility of rupatadine fumarate in water increases with increasing pH, making it easier to form into a tablet. The tablets also have increased mechanical stability compared with other known formulations of rupatadine fumarate tablets. As such, this invention provides an improved method for preparing tablets containing rupatadine fumarate as their principal agent which can be used for clinical application and has improved bioavailability compared to other similar preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recommended dose of rupatadine fumarate is 10-20 mg per day in adults, and 5 mg per day in children. The tablets are generally used as a treatment for chronic urticaria or allergic rhinitis symptoms in both adults and children. Rupatadine fumarate, the active ingredient of these tablets, is a salt of the fumarate anion. It has been shown to be highly effective at relieving symptoms associated with chronic urticaria and allergic rhinitis when taken as directed.
